Class 12 2023 - 2024

Welcome to Class 12's page! There are eight pupils in our class and we are a mixture of KS4/5 students.

 

In Maths we are working towards Functional Skills and currently concentrating on data handling. We are practising plotting data on different types of graphs and answering questions about that data.

 

In English we have been learning about plurals and conjunctions and choosing conjunctions to complete sentences.

 

Our Science is based on learning about chemistry and reactions. For PE we have enjoyed completing a street dance class via Zoom. 

 

We have been attending a work familiarisation course at Preston and Chorley hospital. We have focused on a different career/ topic each week  such as linen, catering and the ward. We go to visit the linen department in the hospital, the kitchens and canteen and sampled the delicious pizza! We visited a mock ward and practised our first aid skills by bandaging, using a stethoscope and taking blood pressure.
